On the Sunday and Monday before the school we visited with Marylu and Henry, two members of North Dakota Badlands Horse. They have a contract with the Theodore Roosevelt National Park to assist with low-stress wild horse gathers and then to sell the horses. They first learned their techniques from Whit Hibbard (buy his Stockmanship Journal with both articles about Richard and I and an article about Whit’s work with the Park horses here), and then attended our Stockmanship School in Dickinson.
After the school, they had some excellent results gathering horses.
