Experience teaches only the teachable.

We just got back from another great trip to West Virginia! In 2006, 2007, and 2008 we spoke throughout West Virginia for the WV University Extension, and we really enjoyed meeting so many great extension agents and landowners.

This trip we did an on-farm consultation where we got to drive sheep and cattle and work with a wonderful family, we did a short presentation to the Union 4-H Club, we put on a one-day Proper Stockmanship School for the WV Extension, and we put on a two-day Proper Livestock Marketing school.

In the course of this trip we saw several of the extension agents we worked with 15 years ago! They were still using the stockmanship techniques they had learned from us.

In the middle of that we went to Newport News to visit our son and his family and go deep-sea fishing. Click here for photos of that trip.

And, on the way back from the coast we stopped at Crabtree Falls, VA. Click here for photos.

For the first half of our trip, we stayed at Willow Bend B&B. What a glorious place to stay. We can’t recommend it highly enough!

Coming in from the east, it's always great to see the St. Louis Arch and know we are almost home!
