The hardest thing to explain is the glaringly evident, which everybody had decided not to see.

Clyde Leland “Bud” Williams born June 21, 1932;
passed on November 25, 2012.

I think Wally Olson said it best in an email letting folks know
when he said “another library closed.”

Here’s Mom and Dad at his last speaking event,
the “Bud Summit” in Coffeyville, KS in July

There won’t be a funeral or memorial service. For those of you who would like to do something in honor of Dad’s life’s work, use good stockmanship and share it with everyone you come across. That’s the best legacy anyone could ask for.

  1. Thank you. Your dad is a great man and has a big effect. Not a day with cattle goes by that I don’t use something that your mom and dad did not give to me.

  2. My true condolences. What a legacy! You guys along with Bud have totally changed my cattle handeling habits. -true story- I had just finished settling in some new cutting bulls And was walking a sick calf to the lot when my mom sent me a text telling me about Buds passing. (She caught it on a Beef magazine email) I’m so thankful I had a chance to learn from him! See ya down the road. Monte
