Terry and the class examine the soil organic layer to determine past management practices. Having a 4” litter two layer is a good indication that the soil is growing, accumulating and will sustain plant growth in the future.

Tina and I appreciated the opportunity to host the HMI Class at our farm and truly hope that we were able in some small way to help all those that attended to improve their management skills. As well, thanks to Terry Gompert and Doug Peterson for sharing their knowledge and experience with us all.
