Moving Cattle to a New Paddock

Here’s a photo series of moving the cows to another grazing section. Notice how the cows are waiting quietly and calmly for the signal that it’s time to move.

Richard takes down a little of the polywire and stands so that each cow has to walk right by him to get to the new grass.

They took their calves with them so everyone will be happy in their new pasture, and there won’t be any calves remaining in the old pasture running the fence trying to figure out where to go.

They slowly walk by, no bawling or pushing.

And they immediately start grazing.
