Knowing it and seeing it are two different things.

Setting up the demonstration remote hydraulic working chute where we will do the demonstration on Friday. Thanks to the Lakeland Group for the loan!

Our host family had some cattle get out, so Richard got to ride and help them get the cattle back home.

A yummy lunch prepared by local cooks.

Richard worked with the 110 pair of cows we would be working that day.

Then Richard “parked” or stopped the herd and came over to visit with the group. The cows stayed where he placed them for a long time.

Richard and two volunteers used the “T to the Gate” to bring the herd right . . .

. . . to the closed gate!

After lunch they didn’t have any problems at all gathering the herd, sorting the cows from the calves, and starting the working process.

Here’s a shot of the Lakeland Group headgate in action which facilitates giving shots in the neck area.

Richard and I worked with and trained attendees while the calves were processed and then headed down the road to Brandon where we were to start a two-day school the next day. Thanks to all the Lundar folks for a great school!
