Animals want us to lead, not with a carrot, but with a calm assertive energy.

This school was the farthest north we have ever taught (53.3 degrees N)! Thanks to the Melfort Royal Canadian Legion Branch for letting us present in their lovely hall. It was great to see the memorabilia of their local service men and women.

We had a chance to drive some calves in a local background yard where the participants were able to see how calves react when they don’t understand what “driving” means. It wasn’t long before they were driving great in and out of their pens. However, this gave the attendees a good view of what their calves might look like when they walk into the pen so they don’t worry they are doing something “not quite right!”
