The meaning of things lies not in the things themselves but in our attitude towards them.

I was buying sugar the other day and I reached for the 10 lb bag, because I have it in my head that the larger container will always be cheaper.

But, then something made me look over at the 4 lb bags. . . .

The 10 lb bags were 5.1 cents/oz, and the 4 lb bags were 4.9 cents/oz. . . .

Remember how we always tell you to DO THE MATH?

I bought 2, 4 lb bags of sugar and saved 25 cents. Now, that’s not much, but it could have been if I’d needed more sugar.

It might have been even cheaper if I’d spent a lot of gas and made a special trip to Costco, oops, or maybe not!

Always do the math!
