Sidney, NE in-person Marketing and Stockmanship School July 29-August 1!

Yes, we are traveling again!! On our way back from Mom teaching about using stock dogs (read post here), we are putting on a Proper Livestock Marketing and Proper Stockmanship school in Sidney, NE!  

Early Bird registration price savings ends June 29!

Hours—

Marketing School: July 29, 8 am to 5 pm and July 30, 8 am to 12 noon

Stockmanship School: July 30, 1 pm to 5 pm, July 31, 8 am to 5 pm, and August 1, 8 am to 5 pm (depending on the weather, we might go to a nearby ranch and work some cows in the afternoon of the 1st, or we might do more classroom)

Marketing School Outline—

Using lecture, questions/answers, current market data, and actual math calculations (bring a calculator), we will cover—

  • Know and understand yourself
  • The only price that matters (hint, there won’t be any crystal ball involved)
  • Know your resources (money, feed, livestock, and time) and how to manage them
  • Sell/Buy compared to Buy/Sell
  • Find relationships and determine what to sell and what to buy
  • Marketing for the cow/calf producer (another hint, every cow/calf producer becomes a stocker manager when their calves get to about 300 pounds!)
  • Determine the value of breeding stock
  • How to eliminate guesswork, hoping, and doubt
  • How to use the provided excel spreadsheets
  • Make a profit and stay in business!

Registration Fee

No charge for interested kids age 18 and under attending with a parent. Please email or call us so we can have a count for meals.

Charge for adults is $999 USD per person for both the Marketing and Stockmanship School, $599 USD per person for the Marketing school only, or $674 for the Stockmanship School alone. However, if you register before June 29, you will receive the early bird pricing of $899 USD per person for both the Marketing and Stockmanship School, $524 USD per person for the Marketing school only, or $599 for the Stockmanship School alone.

Two people from the same family/ranch can “buy one, get one half off.”

Lunch is included four days for both schools,  July 29 for the marketing school only, or July 30-August 1 for the stockmanship school only.
