Knowing it and seeing it are two different things.

We had a plan for feeding our little herd during the blizzard which had been forecast for a week previous, but we quickly saw it was going to be inadequate in the face of the wind, snow and cold which arrived this morning.

So we drove the group across the farm (much of it right into the harsh, north wind) and up to the barn lot for some soy pellets to give them a little extra energy to face the below 0 temperatures coming that night and several nights into the future.

It was so nice to head out and know we’d easily be able to drive them wherever we needed to.
