Full Day Stockmanship School at Chimney Rock Cattle Company, Concord, AR

Here we are in front of the building where we stayed Friday night and presented our talk Saturday. It’s a wonderful facility including full restaurant and bar, huge central lobby/gathering area, awesome open, curved staircase built from longhorns, beautifully appointed sleeping rooms, and the cleanest livestock auction ring I’ve ever seen!

Richard and I walked out to see the Chimney Rock, and had a chance to visit with some of their high quality Brangus heifers at the same time!

The first group had to come check Richard out

Chimney Rock

Fine heifers!

Then we walked over to where another part of the herd was, and they had to come visit too.

And here’s some of their bulls.

Bill Davis described his operation at the beginning of the day.

Richard spoke in the auction area to a very interested group of about 50 ranchers.

This school was sponsored by the Cleburne County Conservation District, NRCS, and Arkansas Grazing Land Conservation Initiative.

A view of the relaxation area. Note the awesome longhorn staircase and the barbed-wire “fence” railing along the second story sleeping room area.
