Zebra and Cattle Together

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

Today we toured the Hearst Castle near San Simeon, California. W.R. Hearst had, at one time, a zoo on the property. Today only a few "zoo" animals remain including these zebra who run right with the cattle. We had such a hard time resisting the urge to walk out and take them all for a drive!

While on Vacation!

Monday, October 26th, 2009

Richard and I enjoyed a great vacation traveling the coast between San Jose and Pismo Beach in late October. Thanks to cell phone technology (when we chose to turn it on, which wasn’t very often!), we were even available to speak to folks wanting a stockmanship school in their area like Richard is doing in this photo taken at Point Lobos State Park.

And here we both are at the end of one of the glorious rock formations at the Park.

Weakness and Strength

“I learned that it is the weak who are cruel, and that gentleness is to be expected only from the strong.”
