Snowy Sort

Since we hadn’t had a chance to film working cattle in our newly expanded corral system, we decided to put the calves in and do some sorting. Richard drove the calves into the corral from the west (top) and through the first pen into the east pen.


Then he put them back into the west pen.


And then back from the west pen into the east pen.

Bull Evaluation Day

Richard and I spent a great day at Weston and Beth Walker’s farm just east of Bona, Missouri today while Kit Pharo of Pharo Cattle Co. evaluated the bulls Weston and Beth had been growing out.


They put each bull between the two groups of evaluators and rated them on various categories including fleshing ability, thickness, muscling, masculinity and disposition.

A Great Day Working Calves

Richard and I spent a great day at a backgrounding yard just north of Bolivar working calves and explaining some techniques of Stockmanship.
