Stockmanship School in Houston, Missouri
Saturday, June 10th, 2006
First I gave a 3 hour talk in the “classroom” on the value and basics of Stockmanship. Then we traveled to Rex and Amy Hamilton’s farm where they had this group of calves all ready for my demonstration. These were sale-barn calves who had been trained to drive when they first arrived, though hadn’t been “driven” in a month. They showed how the early training pays off, and they don’t forget!

After working the calves in the pasture, bringing them into the corral, and working them through the “Bud Box” into the alley for weighing, I loaded the calves in the trailer easily and calmly!
